Something from the history:
In the early Middle Ages, the Girdler produced knight armor and ceremonial objects from some non-ferrous metals (e.g. monstrances, king crowns, crowns for church dignitaries, etc). In a late time, then the craft is divided into three parts, with the blurred boundaries. These three groups were the Girdler, the Plattner and Metal Chaser. These three trades are now so interconnected that it is no longer accurate to say when one ends and the other begins. Nowadays Girdler do even the chandelier and various architectural art works from metal.
34 years ago, I learned the craft and I practice it since then, what my Master taught me, I further develop and work with my own ideas extend and expand the techniques.
In essence, I devote myself almost exclusively to the making of historical objects such as costumes, weapons, armor and its parts but also various historical or modern sculpture made from metal sheets (dragon heads, weather and wind cocks and similar).
I mainly focus on the creation of unique pieces according to the individual wishes of customers. The here presented unique pieces were made by myself using classical techniques such as engravings, etchings and metal chasing. For my work I use primarily gold, silver, brass, copper and iron.
